Cooking with Swarn

Our last
Cooking with Swarn class
was a vegetarian one.
I loved it!
The menu consisted of a dal,
cabbage and peas
and roti.

To begin the class,
Swarn showed us a variety of lentils
and told us the difference between them.

Did you know there were so many different types?
We used the green ones

With tomatoes, garlic, spices

Cooking it down

With some coriander and onions
The roti is a lot thinner
than the chapati.
I loved how it puffed up
when you cook it.

The cabbage and peas may have been simple
but oh so good.

Peas with spices

Add cabbage

woohoo
Oh, how could I forget.
We also made raita.

Yogurt with tomatoes

And onions

Garnished
What a lovely dinner.
