52 Weeks of Happiness - Week 39

Right before Halloween,
Tyler over at Afrikolor
had a pumpkin carving event.
Ethan loved carving his pumpkin.
He is very proud of the finished product
and has reminded me that we need to pull it out
every Halloween.

This past weekend,
Tyler was up to his magic once again.
This time it was ornament making.
The kids got to make 4 ornaments
and 2 angels.
Ethan chose his designs
and even the colours he wants them to be.

We should get them before we leave for Canada.
Ethan thinks they might make nice Christmas presents.
I think I want to keep them.

Tyler showing them how to use the stencil.
Pounding the clay.

Ethan's ornaments.
Making his angel.
I can't wait until they are ready.

Happiness is making
Christmas ornaments.

What a great thing for kids to do. I think Ethan is going to be very artistic all his life. He seems to enjoy using his hands to create so much. It was fun to see the pictures of him concentrating so hard. You could just tell how much it meant to him. And I'm with you, Tima. I would want to keep them too. That kid has such a generous heart though. He is going to be an outstanding adult, I'm just sure. I know you are very proud of him as you have reason to be.

I haven't heard from you for such a long time. I miss hearing from you. I know that I don't post as often as I used to, but I am still posting whenever I can. November flew by and altogether it was a terrible month for me health wise, but I am improving a bit each day and I think I am going to be just fine for the holidays. I have been fairly active so far this month. We had two church parties this week already that I have had to bake for and attend. We are having another one tomorrow. They have all been sponsored by different organizations in our church and I'm not sure why they had three in one week! That has kept me busy and it has been good for me, I think.

Hope to hear from you soon. I admit that I haven't been able to keep up with reading all the posts either, but I am going to go back and read all the ones of yours that I have missed.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. It should be great for you to go back home again. We are going to Sue's so at least we we be around family. It is necessary to have some family around at Christmas, don't you agree?

I just finished reading your past blogs and the last one I commented on was Nov. 9!!! No wonder you haven't commented on my blogs. I know November wasn't my best month, but at least now I feel like I know a little more about what has happened to you the past few weeks. You are always such a busy person, and yet you are so organized. I still feel sad that your husband has to be away so long and I just don't see how you can stand being alone most of your time. It's a good thing you like to read. I hope this separation for you won't last too long.

Take care Tima, and know that even though I am lax at commenting, I do think of you. I'm hoping I will improve next year! Ha!
