Ethan's a lot like me. He has his obsessions. Currently, they are dinosaurs, Bakugan and Ben 10. Many months ago, I bought Ethan a pair of sandals. Correction, a pair of Ben 10 sandals. They just fit. Which means he would grow out of them easily. I have gone back to the shop where I bought them, several times, looking for another, bigger pair, but they don't have them. I've also searched all kiddie stores I came across in South Africa, not once, but during both visits. I can't find them. I almost had Ethan convinced last month, that they were shoes for 3 year olds, and when he turned 4, he would outgrow them. Almost.
Today, Ethan found his shoes. And wore them. They are too small. I try to tell him. "But I'm four mommy, and they are for 4 year olds." I do my best to convince him otherwise, then he holds up his shoe to show me the bottom; "See Mommy. It says 8. I'm 4. I can still wear them."
Ah, the number 4!

Interesting. Hope he grows out of it before he gets too old. 10Books before bed would be too much. I do think it is a little normal though.

Not just Ethan. My daughter has the same crazy 4 obsession. Yes, she is four too. We have to pat her back for four minutes at bedtime, etc. I hope they grow out of this!
@Karen - We'll have to keep pushing his bed time earlier, to accomodate all the books.

I have the same obsession (no I'm not 4, I'm 13). I don't know why, but there's something about this number that atracks me. Oh and you should type "Tetraphobia" or something, believe it or not I think thats the reason I like this number, maybe because I was borned at the 4th month (among other things, various other things...) .I'm also a litle obsessed with symmetry and balance, think theres a conection?
