Football

I've never been a soccer fan. Ok, let's be honest, I've never really been a sports fan. I never played soccer as a child, never watched it on TV, never had any interest in it whatsoever.

In 2002, we lived in Korea, and left in March. World Cup came to Korea/Japan that summer. We missed it. And honestly, I'm not that bothered. Scott will often say how we sometimes think we should have extended and attended a game or two, and while that's true, I cannot honestly say I would have been interested. In 2006, FIFA World Cup was in Germany. I was in Canada waiting for the birth of our beloved Ethan. Scott watched the games on TV, and I'm sure I sat with him, but I don't remember it. I cheered for England. I remember that.

Well it's football time again. (Yes, now it's football). And this time I have to admit, I'm really enjoying it. Scott and I have watched a few matches at home, and gone to a bar to watch some others. Why'd it take so long to get interested? The best was going to South Africa to watch Holland vs Uruguay. It was wonderful! Seeing a game live is the best! If you ever get a chance, you should go.

Maybe I'll even start watching it with Scott. Just not sure I'll be a Liverpool fan. hehehe

I am so jealous. My husband has been watching the World Cup with intensity. He is a soccer guy. This is the first year he is not coaching in the past 10 years.
My husband lived in South Africa before we met. He is always talking about taking the family there to show us around. He desperately wanted to go to the World Cup. He had his chance in Korea. He was there off and on for a year. He could have scheduled to be there then, but I think he had enough of Korea by the time World Cup came. All he wanted to do was be at home.

I am glad you had fun.
